Employee Assistance Programs (EAP)Many employees have problems that are both work and non-work related that
effect the ability of the employees to be productive team members. In
recognition of that connection many local employers are sharing in CA's EAP
program. There are three different plans that are available:
Essentially each program is named by the number of free visits that are provided by the employer. Unlike their insurance programs, these visits to CA can be about anything that is important to the employee. Employees can discuss career goals, difficult job relationships or any other issue that is helpful to the employee. If the employee has an illness diagnosable as one of the DSM-IV categories, the insurance picks up the cost of the treatment only after their free visits. This service is not only available to the employee, but also to any immediate family member who lives in their home. So a crisis at home can be handled with no expenses up to the limit of the employers plan with CA. CA also offers on-site random employee drug testing, new employee drug testing, and 24 hour post-accident or emergency testing as a part of our EAPs. Our program provides high quality, low cost employee drug testing. The state of Maryland has certified us for both Department of Transportation (DOT) and Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) specimen collection. Employers save time and money with our on-site services. In most instances, employees are back to work in fifteen minutes. Our office based testing is equally efficient. No crowded laboratory waiting areas here! We are committed to getting your employees in and out of our office in minutes instead of hours. Employees who have a sound emotional state and who have access to professional counselors make for more productive and safer employees. Their thoughts can be focused on the job while they work on the job. These visits can be made for either of our core services, therapeutic counseling or addictions counseling through our Gateway Behavioral Health program. PowerPoint Presentation
