Carol Ireland, MSW,
LCSW-C
I
received my Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from University of
Maryland, Baltimore and am a Licensed Certified Social Worker-Clinical.
With more than 12 years counseling experience, I offer highly individualized
client-centered therapy designed to help you find your voice and build upon your
coping skills and strategies-to get beyond the impasse, beyond feeling “stuck”.
I use a number of traditional therapeutic models and will, when appropriate,
employ visualization, guided imagery, storytelling, art and even film.
I work primarily with adult individuals and couples but also enjoy working with
teens and families. I view therapy as a journey of self-discovery and
self-acceptance. I believe in the long-term benefits of a strong therapeutic
relationship with my clients and appreciate the healing power of humor. As a
client recently said, “This is something I do for me in my world of doing for
others.” As for me, I think of my self as Glenda-helping you find your Ruby
Slippers.
