I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with thirty years of experience in the mental health arena. I was born and raised in South America where I worked until I moved to the Middle East and then to the U.S. These experiences allow me to have a better understanding of cultural diversity.Most of my experience has been in psychiatric hospitals, with dually diagnosed individuals. I was the Family Therapist for a substance abuse program. I also work for Delaware's Division of Child Mental Health.Working in the medical field during my practice has given me the ability to approach each person holistically. My therapeutic interventions are eclectic, tinted with psychodynamic and behavioral colors.I love to work with any human that needs help no matter the age. I've specialized in emotional and behavior problems in children and adolescents. |
